How to use your Capital 1 Venture X to get cash back on Viator

This post will focus on one particular benefit the Venture X currently offers…up to 13% cash/credit back from Viator.

What is Viator?

Viator is a tour/excursion company that we have used many times over the past few years. We have E-biked the Appian Way in Rome (as seen above), toured coffee farms in Costa Rica, cruised the canals of Amsterdam while enjoying wine and Gouda…and many more exciting and unique adventures using Viator. These tours are wonderful ways to enrich your travels.

Getting the deal

One way to save money on these tours is by using the shopping portal with your Capital 1 Venture X card. Simply login to your Capital one account and on the home page you should see:

Click on Viator which here is offering 9% back…next you should see this:

Click on “Continue to Merchant” and this will take you directly to Viator. (Make sure you continue on this same browser) Choose your tour and pay using your Capital 1 Venture X card. You then will receive an email in a few days saying you have activated an offer from Capital 1. Within a few weeks you will see the credit on your account. It will appear on your statement like this:

This can really save quite a bit of money, especially if you have several in your family/group. The offer changes quite often so you can keep checking…the best return we have seen is 13% back.
