Best place to stay in Paris on points!
Ahhhh….Paris! So many reasons to visit this beautiful city….the Louvre, The Eiffel Tower, Montmartre oh and the FOOD! I’m dreaming of croissants 🥐 and crepes right now! If you are planning a trip to the city of lights, and are wondering where to stay with your points, we have you covered.
We recently visited Paris for 2 (quick but eventful nights). Several months before we left I began researching where we would stay. Our flight would be arriving early in the morning from the US so we knew we would want to check in and leave our luggage with the concierge, which is a great option if you want to head out and sightsee right away. This isn’t always an option if you book an Airb&b or VRBO (hence the reason you see tourists walking around the city centre hauling all their bags 😫)
We like to book award stays way (like 6 months or more) in advance to get the best option. Hyatt has such a wonderful Points redemption we looked at what they had to offer. We were pleased to find the Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile. We booked a 2 room suite that was basically 2 adjoining rooms for 24,000 World of Hyatt points. We were unable to book a regular room for 3 people (it seems like 2 guests per room is the limit) so our option was the 2 room suite. This came on the club level which was fine with us. We enjoyed breakfast each morning in the club with views of the Eiffel Tower! We also had dinner one evening there as well.
The hotel is located in the 17th arrondissement and just a 15 minute walk to the Arc de Triomph. It’s a beautiful property with great views of Paris from many of the rooms as well as the Club and Sky bar. Our room was super cozy and well this view….
We loved the staff who were very helpful and took great care to explain to us about the riots happening at the time and what areas to avoid. Also, at check in we were so happy to learn that one of our rooms was available so we could put our luggage there and freshen up. This was wonderful since we had been traveling all night and, well, as most of you know…Jet lag is REAL!
Bottom line
We would happily return to this beautiful Hyatt property. Points prices start at 18,000 for 2 people which is amazing! We can’t say enough great things about this hotel. If you are considering a trip to Paris, we 100% agree with Audrey Hepburn:
“Paris is always a good idea”!
And booking the Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile is an even better idea!
Bon Voyage!
